Having trouble getting your character done? Here is a list to follow, along with a few helpful tips. Any other questions, you can ask!
1. Decide what character you would like to be. If you are having difficulty deciding, stick to something in the movie, or something you are comfortable with. If you need inspiration, I always find it in DeviantArt.
2. If you decided on a cannon, visit the Cannon thread. Ask for a character by posting in there, and wait for a staff member to get back to you. If you feel ignored, you can PM me to draw attention to the issue. If you decide not to have a cannon, skip this step and move on to number three.
3. Next, go to the Character Outline thread, where you copy the coding. Paste that coding into a new thread in the character board.
4. Fill that outline in. You may refer back to the Character Outline thread whenever you need to for guidance. After it is all filled in, wait to be accepted. A staff member will get back to you, and ask you to correct, add, subtract, or modify the outline until it fits in well with the plot.
5. If you have chosen a celebrity to be the face of your character, which is not necissary, please look to the Face Claim thread. If you don't want to have a celebrity as your character's face, it's not a problem.
Hints In Getting Accepted
- The more, the merrier! Chances are, if you write a novel, the staff member may not even read the whole thing, You could probably get away with murder.
- Use big words. Seeming intelligent is always a plus.
- Flawed characters are the best! A perfect character is so bla, so boring, we might just tell you to go back to the drawing board. But if you have a pregnant crack addicted whore who is living on the streets? Wow, sounds like a good story to me.
- Be active! If you come on a lot, participate in the general chat area, and get to know a few members, you will be noticed quicker and probably pushed through faster.
- Creativity is key. Have you an original character? All the better! Anything that has not been seen 100 times before will be accepted much more quickly.
